The NICE/DSU/大发六合彩 Masterclasses are unique in being focused solely on the specific requirements of听NICE and its Appraisal Committees and on the challenges associated with key areas of evidence听generation and methodology. They are specifically designed for staff in pharmaceutical companies听who prepare submissions, the consultancies that support them, and members of the academic听groups who review the submissions.

Making high quality, evidence-based submissions to NICE鈥檚 Technology Appraisal processes can听mean the difference between successful or very limited access to the NHS market for medicines.听鈥淢apping鈥� refers to a set of methods used to link clinical evidence to preference based outcomes听required to estimate Quality Adjusted Life Years in an economic evaluation. It is a very widely used听method in NICE appraisals but it can be challenging to produce reliable estimates.

This masterclass听will provide instruction on when and how these analyses should be performed, including听consideration of evidence generation activities to be considered to complement direct measurement听of health utilities in clinical studies. The sessions are based on the recently updated Decision Support听Unit (NICE DSU) Technical Support Document and presented by its authors (Professors M贸nica听Hern谩ndez and Allan Wailoo, University of Sheffield). Presentations and participant activities, real听world examples and software demonstrations will be used.听

This is virtual masterclass which will consist of two morning sessions on the 4th and 5th of November. Both sessions will need to be attended to complete the course.听
